SJK Chairman Sun Gang Attends CECA Piezoelectric Crystal Branch Council Meeting to Explore New Opportunities for Industry Development
On April 21, the 2nd Council Meeting of the 11th Session of the Piezoelectric Crystal Components and Materials Branch of the China Electronic Components Association (CECA) was grandly held at Tongquetai Jinling Hotel in Tongling, Anhui Province. The conference featured a comprehensive agenda including council discussions and factory visits, attracting representatives from council member companies, industry experts, and local government leaders from across China to jointly plan the development blueprint for the piezoelectric crystal industry during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period.
As a national-level specialized and sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprise, Shenzhen Crystal Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. attached great importance to this industry event. Chairman Sun Gang personally led the core management team to participate throughout the conference discussions, exchanges, and site visits, demonstrating the company’s commitment to industry responsibility and strengthening collaboration within the sector.
Part 01
Focusing on the 15th Five-Year Development Plan and Exploring New Industry Frontiers
During the key council meeting, Yang Sui, Secretary-General of the CECA Piezoelectric Crystal Components and Materials Branch, introduced and discussed the Draft Development Plan for the Piezoelectric Crystal Components Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period. He pointed out that during the “15th Five-Year Plan” era, piezoelectric crystal component technologies will continue evolving toward higher precision, greater stability, higher integration, and miniaturization. Emerging sectors such as automotive electronics, 5G-A/6G communications, and high-end equipment manufacturing are expected to become the most important growth drivers for the industry.
Part 02
Building Consensus and Demonstrating Corporate Responsibility
During the discussion session, SJK Chairman Sun Gang shared practical insights based on the company’s extensive industry experience. He proposed constructive suggestions regarding industrial chain collaboration, regional cooperation among South China crystal enterprises, and breakthroughs in core technologies. His remarks reflected the demands of South China’s crystal industry while promoting resource sharing between enterprises across different regions.
Sun Gang stated:
“China’s industry needs breakthroughs in chip design capabilities and upstream-downstream collaboration to avoid dependence on external technologies. Industry associations should identify key task leaders and jointly coordinate universities, research institutes, and cross-industry resources to tackle common technical challenges.”
At the same time, leveraging the platform role of the South China Crystal Association, SJK will actively build communication bridges and contribute to the overall advancement of the industry.
Part 03
Staying True to the Original Aspiration and Embarking on a New Journey Together
During the meeting, representatives from leading industry enterprises revealed that due to the more than 60% increase in the cost of precious-metal-related materials since 2025—including bases, lids, and silver adhesives—major manufacturers have announced price adjustments for new orders starting in April, with increases ranging from approximately 5% to 10%.
Participants regarded this upward pricing adjustment as an important signal that the industry fundamentals are recovering from previous downturns, indicating that the supply chain is gradually restructuring its competitive landscape and entering a new growth cycle.
The council meeting also reviewed and approved a series of important resolutions that will significantly impact the industry ecosystem, including:
- The 2027 council meeting will be held in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, while a dedicated MEMS seminar will be organized in Nanjing;
- The year 2027 will mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the CECA Piezoelectric Crystal Components and Materials Branch, with a grand celebration to be hosted by Tangshan Guoxin Jingyuan Electronics Co., Ltd.;
- In terms of organizational expansion, Tianjin Wujia Lianchuang Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Lanjingxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. were unanimously approved as new council member units, injecting fresh vitality into the association.
This council meeting not only strengthened consensus on industry development, but also promoted collaboration across the piezoelectric crystal industry chain, injecting new momentum into the industry’s high-quality development during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period while helping standardize industry order and enhance overall industrial competitiveness.
During the conference, Wu Ping, Deputy Secretary-General of the CECA Piezoelectric Crystal Components and Materials Branch, together with Sun Gang, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the South China Crystal Association, joined other participants in factory visits and exchanged experiences on intelligent manufacturing and quality management.
Looking ahead, SJK will continue adhering to the path of specialization and innovation, closely follow industry development strategies, deepen technological innovation, and work together with industry partners to contribute to the high-end and international development of China’s piezoelectric crystal industry.
